Hands on Heritage Exhibition 2012
The Heritage Trust of Lincolnshire is a funded charity, which restores and preserves listed buildings to benefit the local people and visitors. The trusts purpose is to save and renovate historic buildings under threat which makes them suitable for new uses.
To promote this charity, they are holding a 'Hands on Heritage Expedition' over three days in July to give younger people an opportunity to learn more about heritage and learn new skills. They are focusing on younger people as they wish to create the next generation of historians.
Last year's expedition was very successful and all participants enjoyed reconstructing a dry stonewall.
A participant said: "It's fun; you meet new people and learn new skills. It's also good to put on your CV."
This free event is open to young people aged 18 to 25 and will give them a chance of what it's like to be architect. To find out what this year's expedition will involve or to apply, then email them at firstname.lastname@example.org . It will take place from Tuesday 10th to Thursday 12th July 2012.
