Celebrating its third year, details for The Great British Folk Festival – which will once again be held at Butlins Skegness – have been announced.

Organisers have scheduled a second stage for Saturday and Sunday afternoon at the event, on Friday, November 30 to Monday, December 3, and have revealed a line-up which includes headliners Show of Hands now joined by Davey Arthur, who will be making a rare appearance with Irelands' The Fureys.

Patsy Matheson – riding high on the critical success of her new album Stories of Angels & Guitars – opens proceedings upstairs on Saturday afternoon. Currently on tour with Show of Hands, North American duo Matt Gordon and Leonard Podolak will open the evening's proceedings downstairs on Saturday, while British Blues Award winners Babjak weave their magic to close the afternoon. Heading back to the festival this year by popular demand are Gordon Giltrap and The Gathering including Jerry Donahue, Ray Jackson and Doug Morter. Also, don't miss the popular Open Mic sessions at Jaks on Saturday and Sunday.

Tickets start at £72 for the entire weekend including accommodation based on four sharing a Silver apartment, access to most of the resort facilities and all live entertainment. To book call 0845 070 4730 or visit www.bigweekends.com/folk All guests must be aged 18+ years
