Help rescue centre care for its feisty ferrets
DO you have an old hutch, cage or old jumpers you no longer require? If so, New York Ferret Rescue needs you.
New York Ferret Rescue, near Boston, is currently full to bursting with more than 50 ferrets, most of which are territorial males, who are coming into maturity.

FURRY FRIENDS: New York Ferret Rescue is urging people to donate unwanted items or to re-home a ferret.
A spokesman for New York Ferret Rescue said: "At this time of year an un-castrated male can get very excited and fight with other males to become top ferret.
"New York Ferret Rescue is desperately trying to quickly raise enough funds to have 30 or so rowdy young boys castrated in order to calm them down, prevent unwanted future litters and also to make them a lot less smelly."

In the meantime, the rescue is asking for kind donations of unwanted hutches, cages, blankets and toys to be able to split these squabbling youngsters up whilst they are waiting for castration.
Sally added: "The best way the public can help is to make a donation that will help pay for castration and food, donating unwanted hutches or sheds, unwanted feeding equipment, old blankets and even sponsoring a hutch."
By sponsoring a hutch you can give a ferret that cannot be re-homed the chance to live out its last years in safety and comfort at the centre.
Owner of New York Ferret Rescue, Jean said: "Any kind of donation would be really appreciated.
"We have eight boys that are booked in for castration at the moment, each costing £38 a time, so you can imagine how expensive it can get.
"Luckily we have a very forgiving vet."
If you have some items to spare or would like to make a donation, call Jean on 01526 342003 or visit Greenways, Hawthorn Hill, Dogdyke, LN4 4UZ.
