Help stop the fly-tippers
THE Environment Agency is calling on Lincolnshire people to be vigilant after hundreds of tyres were fly-tipped across the county.
In one instance, on January 31, 150 tyres were dumped in a river and threatened to flood the A52.
Team leader Manfai Tang said: "The tyres have been dumped in lay-bys and watercourses, which can cause a significant flood risk.
"The Environment Agency is running a national Get A Grip campaign to tackle the increasing number of illegal sites dealing with waste tyres. We need people to help by reporting anything they believe is suspicious."
Anyone with information should call the Environment Agency on 0800 807060.
