A SPILSBY toddler group is appealing for local support to help them secure free sports equipment for their children.

Come and Play Toddlers Group meet at the Christian Fellowship on Halton Road and have registered for Haven's Fun and Fitness Sports equipment giveaway campaign.

Parents and their friends and colleagues are asked to register with the site and the more people that do, the more items of sports equipment such as parachutes and balls, the group will receive.

Come and Play Toddlers needs the support of 70 percent of its parents to get the pack, and if 100 percent register, they will receive some bonus items.

Group leader Judith Coe said: "Obviously it would be unusual for all parents to register, so the website encourages us to seek support from others locally.

"We are trying to raise awareness of how important it is to provide exercise for under fives, and this scheme will help us do this, within our group."
