Holders Scothern through to semi-finals of Kelly Read Cup following epic encounter against Welton
The cup competitions in the Sills and Betteridge Lincoln Sunday League are gathering momentum and this weekend saw the last four of the Kelly Read Cup finalised.
In an incredible game of football between Welton S&SC and Scothern, several strikes including four goals by Welton's Luke Clifford plus hat-tricks by team-mate Scott Coupland and Scothern's Scott Thompson, of Scothern, saw the game swing back and forth and finally end up 8-5 to the holders after the regulation 90 minutes ended 4-4.
