David Holdsworth insists a resurgent Lincoln City "fear nobody" as he attempted to inflict more misery on beleaguered Walsall in their  FA Cup replay.

The Imps stretched their unbeaten run to eight games at Barrow on Saturday with a 2-1 win and head to the Banks's tomorrow night to seal a place in the second round.

The first game ended in a 1-1 draw and since then Walsall's terrible form has continued with the Saddlers without a win in 10 games.

With pressure mounting on boss Dean Smith, Holdsworth said his players were bursting with confidence and were intent on causing an upset.

"The players fear nobody at the minute and understandably so," he said.

"We are on a great run and we want to maintain that.

"We must pay respect to the opposition, of course, as they are a Football League club and we are in the Conference.

"But we will be ready for them and I don't think anybody would relish facing us at the moment."

Meanwhile, the Echo understands on-loan defender Graeme Hutchison has been recalled by Birmingham City.

“I wasn't there but listened to the game. It was awesome. I didn't hear who the man of the match was but to me a lot of credit goes to the travelling supporters well done to them. Most of all well done the imps.
    Onward and upward.”

“Brown and Holdsworth have created the best team we've had in seasons. Hopefully this will bring the crowds back.”

“I was opposite in the Racehorse, which was less good and compounded the misery :-)

Will be listening on the radio as couldn't get back from the game in time. Doubt it will be an easy game and sure to be a tense one, fingers crossed that Leigh Curtis is in the co-commentator role.”

“Hehe! One of my favourite pubs (CAMRA regional winner, in fact) is just round the corner. Going there always reminds me of that game, because I went for a quick refresher on the way to the match and then went back to deal with the post-traumatic shock afterwards :)”

“My son and I are about to leave for the game. I'm thinking that there may be over 300 Imps fans there tonight and I believe a shock is on the cards. In our entire FA Cup history, we have never beaten any side two leagues higher than us. Tonight's game could therefore be a history-making one!”

“They're in the same situation we were this time last year... nothing's gelling, confidence is low and you're not getting any lucky breaks. We could be their Carshalton.”
