Hospice needs a flutter of volunteers
A LOCAL charity caring for people with life limiting illnesses is desperately seeking new volunteers.
The Butterfly Hospice, in London Road, is eagerly awaiting the opening of their new hospice facility in Rowan Way.

The new hospice will cater for six in-patient beds that will fill a deficit recognised by NHS Lincolnshire.
Jane Parsons, fundraising manager, said: "To keep raising the funds needed to furnish and equip the new hospice, volunteer help is desperately needed in the fundraising department."
Rachelle Pennock and Shirley Draper have been volunteering for the Butterfly Hospice for three years now and Jane Parsons cannot stress how invaluable their contribution has been.
Jane said: "No matter what needs doing, Rachelle will do it; she has gone out into the community from Holbeach to Spilsby telling people about the Butterfly Hospice."
Each year the four-acre site will cost almost £1 million to run.
Jane explained: "We need help in all areas, whether it's someone volunteering in their own area or travelling across all areas."
In recognition for their good work, the Butterfly Hospice has just received an award from the Lincolnshire County Council for Community Group of the Year.
On Sunday, September 12, the Butterfly Hospice will be releasing a native Painted Lady Butterfly in memory of loved ones.
The event will take place at Westwood Lakes, Wyberton.
