My Hospital Bed
The Beatles sang Eleanor Rigby,
But my bed was in ward Digby.
The nurses in there are all ladies.
Each one deserves a bouquet of dahlias.
You are treated with care and respect,
By medical staff who are adept,
At dealing with all problems of health,
For you to get better by yourself.
With compassion, and kindness all day,
Your stay will be welcome by they,
A week has almost passed by, now,
And see you feel like a new man somehow,
So thanks to the Digby Ward team,
Who nursed me back to A1 hygiene.
