Hughes hits a century in Spa victory
Woodhall Spa's Steve Hughes finished his South Lincolnshire & Border League season in style with an innings of 103 as his side claimed fifth place in the Division One table with a victory against Grantham.
Matt Haslam chipped in with 59 and Rob Bee took five wickets as the last four matches finalised the top division's positions.
Boston confirmed their supremacy as champions with a win over Belton Park while Billingborough stayed second despite losing to Sleaford 2nds.
And Oakham just failed to make it into third above Lindum Ramblers despite beating bottom-placed Bourne 2nds by five wickets.
Only one match remained in Division Two where Skegness 2nds missed their chance to go fourth when they went down to Heckington by three wickets.
The seasiders finish fifth while their opponents are sixth, a good result for both teams who were only promoted last year.
Division Three fixtures are completed next week, with a top-of-the-table clash between Stamford and Billingborough 2nds who are unable to catch the runaway leaders who beat Moulton Harrox by 10 wickets.
But Billingborough will be keen to cling on to second place and the possibility of promotion.
With four new applicants to the league, Boston 3rds, who are in third place, also have a lot to play for when they visit Grantham 2nds, having beaten fellow promotion hopefuls Spalding 2nds on Saturday.
Niall Young hit 93 in this match which has left Spalding safe in fourth place.
And Baston went out on a high note, finishing seventh in the table after a slender one-wicket win over Blankney.
