Human head found in the River Witham... no, sorry... it's a rock!
POLICE were called to the River Witham in Lincoln last night after a passer-by reported seeing a human head in the river.
However, when officers attended the spot near Spa Road they found that the "head" was, in fact, a rock.

A police spokesman said: "We received a call at 5pm yesterday that a human head could be seen in the water.
"The witness reported seeing curly hair and eyebrows on the head. It was a rock."
