BBC art correspondent David Sillitio had been commissioned to film and produce a short piece on beautiful beach huts around the country.
The first location selected was Scarborough, and the second, thanks to the charm of both the huts and Bathing Beauties festival co-ordinator Katy Shinton, was Mablethorpe.
Filming started on July 25 with David receiving a tour of the Sandilands Private beach huts by Katy with help from previous Beautiful Beach Hut winners Margot Charlton and Marcelle Albone.
Filming took place within the huts, including interviews with owners, as well as shots of the Cloud Bar at Anderby Creek, shots of the more traditional huts in Queens Park and inside the contemporary Art Huts on Queens Park Promenade.
Special attention was given to the Hut For Gazing And Canoodling with David championing the hard-work of the Tourism Forum in taking over responsibility for this and the festival.
The programme aired on the BBC on August 2.
From this, Hayley Fowler of Chat! magazine brought her family to Mablethorpe, visiting the Hut For Gazing And Canoodling, leaving with the promise of a great review in a September edition of the magazine.
