Independent voter doesn't live in the town
I BROUGHT this topic up a few weeks ago but in light of the recent public meeting it is worth bringing up again.
There seems to be a theme running with Sleaford 'Independent' councillors.
Keith Dolby, Ian Dolby and Brian Watson were among the voices who said people from the surrounding villages cannot vote at the recent public meeting.
Looking on the NKDC website, Grenville Jackson, the newest member of the Sleaford Independent Party, is NKDC councillor for Holdingham and Sleaford Town Councillor for Mareham on totally opposite sides of town.

This is alarming enough but then I saw that Mr Jackson actually lives in Leasingham!
In light of this, how was Grenville Jackson, a non-Sleaford resident, allowed to vote and influence the public meeting debate as a council member? The Sleaford 'Independent' councillors have shouted very loudly about non-Sleaford people imposing their will on the town, yet lo and behold they have one of their own. I'm afraid all I see is total hypocrisy from these people, it seems poor attendance and not living in the area are all perfectly acceptable as long as they share their narrow view on the town's future. Sleaford needs better than this.
