Injury worries mount for Lincoln City
Lincoln City could be down to the bare bones on Saturday as injuries take their toll on Gary Simpson’s squad.
The Imps manager has already lost forward Danny Rowe for up to three weeks due to ankle ligament damage, but, after Tuesday evening’s 1-0 defeat at Hereford United, Simpson could see more of his players on the treatment table.
Left back Sean Newton was withdrawn from the action at Edgar Street after 72 minutes and wideman Jake Sheridan also came off against the Bulls due to concerns about his fitness.
“Yes, Newton was injured,” said Simpson.

“Shez (Jake Sheridan) also took a knock and wasn’t fit and we don’t want it to become a long term injury so we took him off as well. So we are down to the bare bones.
“We were conscious for Ben Tomlinson because he had been booked and he is the last person I wanted to be sent off, so we took him off as well."
Simpson will be keen to end a mini losing run on Saturday when Skrill Premier bottom club Hyde are the visitors to Sincil Bank.
