Interactive tour guides for Lincoln museum
A Lincoln museum is to get interactive tour guides thanks to funding from Arts Council England’s Renaissance Programme.
The Museum of Lincolnshire Life is currently creating new touchscreen tour guides to help people get more out of their visit.
Now it is holding two workshops for people aged between 16 and 25 so they can offer their suggestions on how best to bring Lincolnshire history to life.
Sara Basquill, collections access officer, said: “The guides will be packed with video and audio clips, images and games to offer a fresh and fun way to explore exhibits, and give visitors a better understanding of local history.

“While we want them to appeal to all age groups, we know younger visitors will be particularly attracted to them.
“So we’re holding these two workshops so they can share their ideas, suggestions and comments on what we should include.”
The workshops will be held on September 17 and 24, starting at 1.30pm.
Volunteers will only need to attend one session, and refreshments will be provided.
Those interested should contact Sara Basquill at email@example.com or on 01522 525191.
