Jade's dream shattered after first round defeat against grass specialist
THE long and difficult process of gaining passage through to the All England Championship at Wimbledon has proved a step too far for Jade Windley this season.
Windley, from Tattershall Thorpe, was one of 16 women players from around Great Britain who qualified to take part in a wild card play-off where just two places were up for grabs.

However, despite being in good form, the 20-year-old was drawn against grass court specialist Tara Moore in the first round and lost her match 6-3, 6-2.
"I played quite well, but Tara (Moore) is seriously good on grass," said Windley.
"At Nottingham, last week, she beat Kai-Chen Chang, who is ranked at 87 in the world, so she is very good on this surface. She hit the ball so hard and so flat, she has the ideal game for grass.
"The faster the surface the more it suits her. It was very difficult to get back at her once she got in front because I seemed to be under pressure in every rally.
"She is one of those players who either has a brilliant day and is impossible to beat, or is off her game and you can get on top of her. In our match, she was really good and it was difficult for me to get a look in.
"I wouldn't have wanted her to know ahead of the game, but I was secretly hoping to avoid her in the draw. I was pretty confident and I thought I could qualify this year, but now I have to move on."
