Jake Thomson says joining Lincoln City was 'easy' after revealing club wanted him in the summer
Jake Thomson insisted joining Lincoln City was an "easy decision" after revealing boss David Holdsworth tried to sign him in the summer.
The Newport midfielder made his debut in Saturday's 1-1 draw at Ebbsfleet just two days after putting pen to paper on a one-month loan deal.

Thomson said he had no hesitation in signing for Holdsworth having spoken to him about a move at the end of last season.
"I had spoken to the manager at Lincoln in the summer, but I wanted to stay down south with my family," he said.

"But as soon as I was made available by Newport, Lincoln were the first club which came calling.
"I kind of knew straight away it was where I wanted to go. It was an easy decision for me.
"I'm excited to be here although I know the transfer made a bit of a fuss on Twitter.
"But it was just a bit of banter and the aim is now to play as many games as I can and we'll see where we go once the month is up."

“He's good for from his display at Ebbsfleet, covered his ground very well, getting back when required as well, well done Jake. He can only get better ,his understanding with his tea-mes was good.Hope Scott Garner is not long getting back impressed with him since Grimsby game, has been good for Boyce, who hs done fairly well with Garner beside him, the referee was a bit poor, with the elbowing from Elder,he got away with it 3 times on boyce, twice it was near his eyes. Gray did very at Centre back when Garner wnt off at HT.

“Jake might be a stop gap for a month but if he plays his cards right he could get to be here until the end of the season as it looks likely that Mills won't be back before April. Hopefully he will do well - mixed reviews on him so far - but Fofana didn't exactly set the place alight in his first few games but now most fans would select him to play each week. UTI”
