Josh Wilde display provides silver lining for Gainsborough Trinity boss
One of the bright lights of an otherwise dismal start to the season for Gainsborough Trinity has been the form of new signing Josh Wilde.
The former Sheffield Wednesday Academy full-back has started well for his new side with a string of impressive displays culminating in a man of the match performance against Altrincham on Tuesday evening.

The Blues may have lost that game, but Wilde's performance, in keeping quiet one of the division's hottest prospects in Duncan Watmore, has brought high praise from his new employers.

"Like one of our other new signings, Terry Hawkridge, he is a young lad, but they have both been excellent.
"Josh was the man of the match on Tuesday evening and we thought he did very well in what was obviously a difficult game."
Like his boss Housham, 20-year-old Wilde has been disappointed by Trinity's start to the season.
"The first half on Tuesday was a disgrace," said Wilde.
"We knew how bad we were in the first half and if we didn't, Housh (Steve Housham) told us so.
"We can't have anything like that ever again, because it just was not good enough."
Wilde was brought in from Buxton during the summer and played a big part in the Blues' unbeaten pre-season campaign.
However, results have not gone as expected so far in the league as Trinity have taken just one win and two draws from their six games so far.
"We were excellent in pre-season and we need to get back to that form as quickly as possible," Wilde added.
"There are plenty of games left and I am certain we have what it takes to turn things around. It is early in the season and I am convinced this squad can still push for the play-offs.
"The players have been great since I arrived and, along with the boss, have all encouraged me and told me I am doing well.
"That kind of thing really helps with your confidence and it is helping me. From what I have seen in training, we have an awesome squad here and there is plenty more to come.
"Worcester will be very good on Saturday, but if we can get our performance right, it will be them who need to worry about us."
