CHILDREN strutted their stuff on a city charity's outing to Lincoln Castle.

The youngsters and their brothers and sisters were taking part in one of the many summer holiday events organised by Strut In The Community.

In the morning the group made foam swords and shields, helmets and capes before taking a trip to the medieval landmark.

There they enjoyed a picnic in the castle grounds, followed by jousting and an opportunity to visit Lincoln's copy of the Magna Carta. Next week the activities continue with a teddy bears' picnic on Monday, a return of The Creepy Crawlie Roadshow on Tuesday and trips to the National Railway Museum in York and the coastal town of Theddlethorpe on Wednesday and Thursday. And future trips include a visit to London's Rainforest Cafe.
