What Katy did next with Prince's Trust support
AN ambitious art-loving waitress from Sleaford who set up her own business less than a year ago with help from the Prince's Trust has now opened her own shop in town.
Katy Heath, of Katezart Designs, opened the doors to her shop in Sleaford Market Place on Saturday and will also be pitching her business to 'The Dragons' at an entrepreneurs event in Lincoln this month.
Katy, 28, said: "I can't believe it. The last year has been crazy but I've worked so hard for it, it's quite overwhelming."
Katy will work full time in her shop as well as continuing to work one day a week in the café at the National Centre for Craft and Design.

On September 25 Katy will attend the Virgin Media Pioneers' event in Lincoln where she will pitch her business to Dragon's Den success story Andrew Harsley and Virgin Media Pioneers Regional Ambassador Michael Overton.
Prizes on the day include £1,000 cash, an iPad Mini, mentoring opportunities with Virgin Media Pioneers and a ride in a helicopter.
Katy said: "I'm really excited. It will be great to talk to them about my ideas although I wouldn't particularly enjoy the helicopter ride as I'm afraid of heights!"
Katy's shop which is above Sleaford Clothing Store sells her own range of ceramics as well as other unique craft, gifts and clothing from local and national designers.
She set up her own business after completing a week's course with the Prince's Trust which provides support for people aged 13 to 30 throughout the UK with employment, education and training.
