Kickboxers get set for a showdown at Lincolnshire Showground
Shawn Burton is gearing up for his biggest ever kickboxing promotion at the Lincolnshire Showground this weekend.
The Usual Suspects bash features an array of homegrown talent along with some of the finest kickboxers in the world.
Fighters from Lincoln Kickboxing Academy will figure prominently with Burton also set to make an overdue return against Ed Bettinson.
Burton’s shows have proven popular in the past and he believes this latest event will be no different.

“Saturday will be the biggest ever show put on by the Kickboxing Classics promotional team,” he said.
“A lot of hard work has gone in to the Usual Suspects because we wanted the fans to see the very best full contact kickboxing in the in Europe.
“Some massive titles are on the line and we are delighted to bring it to the Lincolnshire Showground.
“We have got a French team flying over to compete on one of our shows for the first time.
“Once again we start the show with the amateurs, but then move on the very best professional kickboxers in the world.”
Kicking off the show and looking for his first victory is Mason Coult, fighting out of Intenz Martial Arts in Lincoln.
He faces debutant Liam Vose from MSD Evolution.
Lincoln KBA’s own Ben Cottard will take on Barnsley’s Kennan Dixon.
Lincoln KBA’s knockout king Michael ‘One Bomb’ Rudd also returns to the ring after 18 months out.
There has been lots of talk in the build-up to his fight against King’s Lynn’s Josh Mann, with both men appearing very confident ahead of their boxing rules bout.
Craig Rainey battles for local pride against Rokas Venskus from fellow Lincoln gym Ultimate Martial Arts.
There is a rematch with popular hometown fighter Karl Trice looking to put defeat in France behind him and do the double against talented Wolverhampton fighter James Quintyne.
The first title up for grabs is the ISKA Junior British title between two of the country’s most talent youngsters.
Lincoln KBA’s Jack Deakin is in sensational form and on Saturday he steps up a level against Ben Exley from Impact Martial Arts in Middlesbrough.
Burton returns to the Kickboxing Classics card on Saturday when he takes on Edward Bettison.
Making his debut for Lincoln KBA is multiple British champion Chris Deakin against Alain Lebrun from France.
Aaron Robinson lost his last bout for the European title in June after being on a four-fight winning streak. He steps up a weight to face former amateur world champion and MMA technician Dan ‘OTT’ Winstanley from Bournemouth.
The final fight of the night sees Tom Scutt challenge for his third belt , this time for the prestigious ISKA Commonwealth title.
