Kid's wildlife group hit by cruel break-in
A GROUP which develops interest in birds and wildlife among young people says it will not let a recent break-in affect its activities.
The Boston Wildlife Explorers Group (WEX) meets at RSPB Freiston Shore Nature Reserve on the second Saturday of each month.
But some time over the weekend of August 17/18, burglars broke into a Portakabin that the group uses for its meetings.
Although nothing was taken, the offenders caused damage of around £500.

WEX leader, Adrian Slater, said: "They smashed through an external fire door and because the internal doors were locked they kicked them in to enter other rooms. We keep nothing of any value there.
"It was upsetting when we first saw the damage, the place looked a mess but we saw nothing was taken, it's just damage.
"We had a bit of a clean up last weekend and we have been and got the replacement bits and pieces. By our next meeting we will be ready to go again."
The WEX group is a registered charity, regularly attended by around 40 young people, ranging in age from around four upwards to 16.
Each meeting combines a mixture of practical activities, classroom-based fun education and craft sessions all focusing around a planned programme topic.
The next meeting on September 14 will focus on Birds of Prey.
Anyone interested in joining the WEX group, can contact Adrian by email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01205 360858 (evening only).
