Ladies' pamper day at Old Leake Community Centre raises £300 for charity
A LADIES’ Indulgence and Pamper Evening raised £300 for charity.
The event was held at Old Leake Community Centre to raise funds for Eastville, Midville and New Leake Playing Field Committee.

Committee chairman Gayle Roddis-Evans was pleased with the turnout and said: “Many local businesses and traders came along and had stalls, as well as beauty therapists who were offering discounted treatments during the evening.
“Goody bags were given out containing lots of lovely gifts and there was a health and beauty prize quiz for a bit of fun.

“Our charity has been working tirelessly over the past three years to secure funding to renovate our unusable and unsafe play area.”
The parishes of Eastville, Midville and New Leake are in a rural area of Lincolnshire with no regular transport links and few amenities.
Mrs Roddis-Evans added: “It was very important for our growing community to have a safe area for the community to meet and interact.
Last year we were granted just under £50,000 to renovate the existing equipment and install new play equipment and seating for use by all ages.”
The playing field is managed by a committee on behalf of the community. It is responsible for raising all the monies required to insure and maintain the facility.
It is estimated this year’s total will be in excess of £1,500.
More events have been planned for the coming months, including jumble sales, a children’s party, a children’s disco, a family fun day and pub quizzes to raise funds.
