All eyes will be on St Giles Avenue when South Lincolnshire & Border League leaders Boston take on third-placed Lindum Ramblers in a match that could go some way to deciding the league championship.

Boston's batting line-up has been strengthened by the arrival of Josh Newton who signed last month and is just getting into his stride for his new team with a half-century last weekend.

But it is Jonathan and Colin Cheer who are lifting Boston's promotion hopes, the former in prolific batting form while his older brother is reeking havoc with the ball.

However, Ramblers are enjoying their best season for some years and will be no pushover, having been in the top three for most of the season. Led by Matt Benson, who is himself in good batting form, the side still have their sights on the top spot.

Aiming to stop their progress are Billingborough, who are currently second but will face a real challenge from fourth-placed Oakham.
