Leebob Jackson battles against the elements to seal solid result
A WEEKEND which saw him being literally blown off his bike ended with another strong points finish for rising 125GP star Leebob Jackson.
The Skellingthorpe rider kept up his record of finishing every race this season with seventh overall and fourth in the ACU Academy Cup at Cadwell Park.

Leebob Jackon.
But that came after he suffered a bizarre qualifying crash which saw the pint-sized 14-year-old flung off his Team Jackson Racing Honda amid high winds.
"In second qualifying I went out on fresh tyres," recalled the North Kesteven School pupil. "I knew it was windy, but I didn't think it was that windy.
"I went into the first turn, then tipped into the right-hander and the wind just caught me out and blew me off the track."
Leebob wasn't the only rider to crash in such a way. He admitted his slender frame had contributed to the fall, and those of several of his rivals.
"As soon as I dusted myself down and started walking off, I saw another rider go down," he added.
"And later I found out another had crashed because of the wind.
"The wind was taking the lighter riders off. It's easier for the bigger guys to stay on in the wind."
However, Leebob still did enough to qualify 14th – sixth in class – ahead of his home race which was once again dominated by accidents.
"I got a pretty good start and moved up a few places on the first lap," he explained.
"On the first lap, a couple of people went down and Fraser Rogers crashed at the Gooseneck.
"Then on the next lap Taylor Mackenzie crashed which brought out the safety car. After that went in, I had a battle with Shaun Horsman.
"That left me third in the cup because other people crashed.
"But towards the end of the race, I didn't realise that Sam Hornsey was catching me. He passed me so I was a bit annoyed I didn't get third place in the cup.
"But it was a good race again. Seventh overall at my home round is a good position."
