Lifeguards at Jubilee Park in Woodhall Spa take part in 100-mile challenge
SWIMMING one mile can be considered a lot for most people but a team from Jubilee Park swam 100 miles between them.
Lifeguards at Jubilee Park swimming pool in Woodhall Spa took part in the challenge to raise funds for The Friends of Jubilee Park who help fund projects at the tourist attraction.

BIG SWIM: Lifeguards and staff from Jubilee Park Swimming Pool in Woodhall Spa swam 100 miles for The Friends of Jubilee Park.
The 100 miles – equivalent to 4,952 lengths, took the swimmers around nine hours to complete.
Joe Stanhope, Jubilee Park manager, who was one of the swimmers said: “We all swam different amounts and actually the weakest swimmers did a lot extra for us which helped complete the challenge. We already have £350 raised and we hope the final amount will be around £400.”

The swimming pool is still open this week, after a decision was made to extend the season due to the nicer weather.
For the rest of the week, it is operating on a term time programme while this Saturday and Sunday it will be the holiday time table.
The season could be extended even further but is dependent on the weather.
