Light snow forecast for Lincolnshire
Lincolnshire could see a flurry of snow this evening, prompting the Met Office to issue a yellow weather warning.
The yellow warning of snow, which remains in place until midday on Thursday, urges the public to “be aware” of snow on roads and pavements, and to take extra care when walking, driving or cycling in affected areas.

The Met Office warns of blustery, wintry showers in areas covered by the yellow snow warning. It says: “Accumulations of snow are likely to be quite small over low-lying areas until the overnight period, when 1-3 cm may occur away from the immediate coast.
“However, over higher ground, for example the North York Moors and Wolds, accumulations of snow around five to 10 cm may build up.

Temperatures will remain low for much of the working week, the Met Office says. A level two cold alert remains in place in Lincolnshire alongside the yellow warning of snow.
The cold alert, which remains in force until 8am on Friday, urges the public to check on vulnerable neighbours and ensure they are able to sufficiently heat their homes.
The Met Office forecasts an afternoon of heavy showers in Lincoln today, and warns temperatures could feel as low as -4C amid wind gusts of up to 41mph.
Light snow showers are forecast between 9pm and midnight, but the skies should clear by the early hours of Thursday. It will remain cold, however – temperatures could feel as low as -5C.
A cloudy Thursday afternoon with sunny intervals is on the cards, and wind gusts will have subsided.
Friday morning will most likely be overcast, and a cloudy afternoon should follow. Temperatures will feel between freezing and -2C, the Met Office says.
Saturday is set to be cold and cloudy, and sleet is forecast from around midnight. It should subside by around 3am on Sunday, but return at around 6am and fall for several hours.
Light rain is forecast until the early evening, but a dry and cloudy night should follow.
