Lincoln Castle features in ITV's Downton Abbey
Lincoln Castle has featured in one of the nation's favourite TV series, Downton Abbey.
The city attraction appeared in the popular ITV period drama last night at it returned to screens for a third series.

The castle stood in for York Prison, where John Bates is serving time for the murder of his former wife.

"Lincoln Castle and its prison are such unique, special places and it’s great to be part of a show that's seen by millions of people around the globe.
