Lincoln City 0 Hyde FC 0: Half-time report
Lincoln City failed to really test Hyde FC as the first half at Sincil Bank finished goalless.
A slow opening saw neither side threaten. Josh Brizzle had the first meaningful shot of the afternoon when he broke down the right for Hyde. He cut into the box to strike a tame effort that was easy for Paul Farman to gather.
On 20 minutes Hyde again forced their way into the box. As Lincoln struggled to clear the ball, Martin Devaney flicked an effort that was gathered by Farman.
Lincoln were forcing their way into the box. On 30 minutes they made their first real attempt on goal when Boyce's header from Miller's cross was tipped over the bar.

Hyde continued to threaten and on 32 minutes Tomsett saw an opening to go for a long-range effort, but Farman was set well and collected comfortably.
Deaveny was the next to challenge from distance. The forward charged down the Imps' right hand side before cutting into the middle and flashing a shot past Farman's left-hand post.
On 42 minutes Lincoln saw another chance go begging. Jordan won a great flick on to Newton on the left-hand side. The full-back stretched forward and crossed a brilliant ball into the box that Wright and Tomlinson both failed to connect with.
Imps manager Gary Simpson plumped for two up front as he set about trying to see off basement side Hyde.
Nick Wright was given his first start since the Imps first home game of the season against Macclesfield.
That ended with the striker limping off in the first half with a hamstring injury.
He has been limited to sub appearances in recent matches as he returns to full fitness. However, Simpson opted to start him up front alongside Ben Tomlinson.
