It was a professional performance by David Holdsworth's side who stretched their unbeaten run to four games.

“Good stuff Imps - never sounded in doubt unlike Saturday's drab affair! I too have fingers crossed for a decent cup run in this or the FA Trophy to get some money and fans through the door. UTI”

“You wont get a match report on a Wednesday, when there is a paper to sell on a Thursday. Remember they only have one shot at selling every week, and a match report would dilute what some people might be interested in. Stockport next on the list..believe.”

“I dare to dream, Man Utd away in the 3rd round. TV money, national exposure, and about £1m in gate reciepts that would see Lincoln through for the next 10 years, a lot like Exeter when they were in a similar boat. Minus Uri Gellar and Michael Jackson”

“...well done lads. Never mind we didn't do the goods in the first game at least we have now got through to the 1st round proper and here's hoping that we can have a cup run that takes us at least to the 3rd round and a game against a 'good' prem side to help bolster the coffers and ease the financial burden on our great club. C'mon you Imps!”
