Lincoln City boss Gary Simpson ready to make changes ahead of Macclesfield Town clash
Lincoln City boss Gary Simpson has said he will change his formation for tonight’s clash against Macclesfield Town.
The Imps boss was pleased with the 0-0 draw his side picked up in the Skrill Premier opener at Woking on Saturday.
He declared the performance against the Cards as a ‘workman-like’ display, but is not afraid to change it round as his side take on the Silkmen at Sincil Bank tonight (7.45pm).
“We worked hard against Woking and I think if you had offered us a point and clean sheet before the game, you would have taken it,” said Simpson.

“They had some great results in pre-season against some tough opposition, so we had to be thoughtful about our line-up.
“We needed to put in a workman-like performance and the line-up I went for was one that had to be solid.”
However, Simpson has said he is ready to mix it up when they take on Macclesfield.
“You pick your formation on who you are playing,” said Simpson. “You have to compete and every game will be different.
“There is no point having just one plan when you come up against different opposition each week.”
