Lincoln City boss Gary Simpson says players are responding to defeat to Salisbury
Gary Simpson has said his Lincoln City players have knuckled down this week following their 1-0 defeat at home to Salisbury.
The defeat ended the Imps 100 per cent record at Sincil Bank.
And afterwards Simpson was left frustrated by the lack of creativity as they were stifled by a resolute Salisbury defence.
However, the players have responded at training this week according to the Imps boss.
“The lads trained well on Monday when they came in,” said Simpson.
“We looked at the game from Saturday and we tried to work on a few things that go right for us.
“We tried to put it right and we were out there for over two hours.
“They are a hardworking bunch and we had to just point them in the right direction.”
