Alexander is regarded as one of the club's greatest managers having led the club to four consecutive appearances in the play-offs from 2002 to 2006.

The event will also try to raise money for the Lincoln youth team by way of a raffle.

With City losing funding from the Football League, the youth department has become reliant on grants, donations and sponsorships.

The Imps are now looking to raise much-needed cash through a raffle and have appealed for local businesses to come forward with prizes.

Youth board member Michael Allwood said: "The youth team at Lincoln City is made up of youngsters aged between 14 and 16.

"It is run in accordance with strict guidelines set down by the FA and funded independently of Lincoln City.

"All league funding is being withdrawn and the team is reliant on voluntary grants, donations and sponsorships.

"The raffle we are organising will raise money to help support the youth team next season.

"I would be really grateful if anybody could support us in any way."

If you are able to donate a raffle prize or have any queries contact Michael Attwood by email on lcfc@redimps.com or on his mobile 07958 295177.
