Lincoln City can match best in Blue Square Bet Premier, says Paul Farman
Paul Farman remains convinced Lincoln City can match the best the Blue Square Bet Premier has to offer despite their spluttering run of form.
Lincoln crashed to their fourth defeat of the season on Tuesday night when Alfreton came from behind to record a 2-1 victory.

And Farman believes a fully-fit Lincoln are still a match for anyone.
"We proved in the opening few games of the season that we can match anyone in this league," he said.
"But the injuries have really hurt us. They have disrupted the rhythm of the team and anyone losing as many first-team players as we have would feel the force of that.
"Unfortunately we have lost two more now in Alan and Boycey and that's a blow.
"You only have to look at Dan Gray who has played right-back, centre midfield and centre-back already this season.
"But we've just got to stick together and come through it and I'm sure we will because we have some extremely talented players here."
Although Lincoln have stuttered in recent weeks, Farman has been a revelation thanks to some stunning performances.
It has been noted by the supporters who have quickly taken him to their hearts.
But he says there is plenty he needs to work on.
"The fans have been absolutely outstanding and it means so much to me to hear them singing my praises," he said.
"But although I have been happy with my performances, I need to put in some more work because I want to improve my distribution for a start."

“Although Paul Farman has done well and made some fine saves it was his hesitation that led to the 2nd goal of Alfreton.
He does tend to hesitate on whether to come out or not.
But also in the Alfreton match he did stop about 3 shots that were goal bound.”

“We can't compete with the best in the BSP by a long way. On 'our day' we might put up a fight, but competing is a season long enterprise. Unfortunately, injuries cannot be used as excuses. The BSP's best teams have strength in depth meaning that they can compete all of the time. The fact that we have a small squad means, quite simply, we can't. One off wins when we are fully fit does not constitute 'competing'. Unfortunately there's not much that we can do about it in the current financial climate, but lets be honest and admit that we're well off the mark rather than talking up a team that can't produce the goods!”

“Stick to the job Paul. You have done ok so far, don't get involved in making silly comments. We can't compete with the best. While we have about 27 players on the books we only have half a dozen who are up to scratch. The remainder are either untried youngsters or very lucky to be playing football full time for a living, unlike the players at Ebbsfleet, Alfreton and Telford.
When fit the back line is ok, in Taylor and Larkin we have players who can score, but the middle of the park is woefull.”

“Statistics do not lie. The Imps are again a very poor team . please stop getting players to make statements , the players are unlikely to lambast the their team mates in the press. This is just an insult to the paying supporter who can see no improvement in results. Talk on the pitch not the press.”
