Lincoln City's Khano Smith hoping to take on Torquay United
Khano Smith is confident red tape will not put the skids on his Lincoln City career as the winger moved close to fulfilling his English dream.
As revealed in the Echo last week, the Bermudian international had penned a short-term deal until January, but the move hinges on receiving international clearance.

Lincoln have completed all the necessary paperwork, but face a race against time to enable the 28-year-old (pictured right) to make his debut against Torquay United at Sincil Bank this weekend.
Smith does not know what the hold-up is, but is hoping the situation will be rectified so he can make his much-anticipated bow against the Gulls.
"All I'm waiting for is the clearance, but at the minute it seems to be mired in red tape," he said.
"I know the club have completed all the paperwork and it's only supposed to take three days so I really don't know what the hold up is.
"The worst part of it all is the waiting, but it is in the hands of the US Federation now.
"But I'm confident that it will all be done before the weekend because I would like to be available for Saturday's game against Torquay."

“The Imps are getting an excellent player.Khano has great experience and is a classy skilled footballer with pace and a great left foot. He is not like Petulia at all. I think Imps fans will be surprised by what he brings to the team.”
