Lincoln City set to name first-team players in friendly at Sleaford Town tonight
Lincoln City will be giving some of their first team players a run out at a friendly at Sleaford Town tonight as Gary Simpson bids to keep his Skrill Premier side in tip-top condition.
The Imps are sending an Under-18 side to take on Kris Jones’s United Counties League Premier Division side at Eslaforde Park (7.45pm).
However, City boss Simpson will use the game as an opportunity to field first-team players who have not had much game time and players recovering from injuries.
“It is a chance for players who have not had a lot of minutes and are on their way back from injury,” said Simpson.

“Todd Jordan missed a bit of pre-season because of injury and the same is with Adi Yussuf.
“Then there are players like Bohan Dixon who have not had many minutes and want to get playing.
“We might, and it is down to a bit of a check this morning, have a look at Nick Wright as well, who is coming back from a hamstring injury.”
The match kicks-off at 7.45pm and spectators are welcome. Admission is £3 for adults, £1 for concessions and children under-14 get in free.
