Alan Power believes Lincoln City must not underestimate Blue Square Bet Premier strugglers Ebbsfleet United when the two sides go head-to-head tomorrow (3pm).

The Imps travel to Kent on the back of an impressive showing in the 1-1 draw at top-of-the-table Grimsby Town on New Year's Day.

However, Power says the division is proving to be tight and it would be wrong to write off Ebbsfleet, despite their current position in the bottom four.

"We cannot underestimate them at all," said Power. "I think you look at how we did at Grimsby and it showed that no team has really stood out this year.

"You have to be prepared and not go taking things for granted. Just because a side is down there, it doesn't mean they are easy to beat.

"We have to be on our game and be strong, like we were against Grimsby.

"The Imps beat Ebbsfleet 3-2 on the final day of last season, but City boss David Holdsworth echoed Power's belief that the division is open this season.

"On New Year's Day you had Woking beating Luton. That shows how open it is," said Holdsworth.

"We had a great game there last season and came away with a good result.

"But we have also come a long way from that game and I think tomorrow it will be a very different affair."I think the Grimsby game showed everyone that we have a very honest bunch of players. I have a lot of trust and know that wherever we go they will put in a shift.

"The confidence is up, I can put a team out there and know what I am going to get."

Lincoln have several injury concerns with Peter Gilbert, Mo Fofana, Peter Bore, Gary Mills and Rob Duffy all unavailable.

“... I don't think anyone should be complacent against any of the teams. In saying that though these are the teams (no offence Ebbsfleet) we should be beating and not take the foot off the pedal and if we are in a position of leading then to carry on and scoring as many goals as is possible. Onwards and upwards - c'mon you Imps!”
