Jamie Taylor's superb finish has given Lincoln City a half-time lead against Kidderminster Harriers at The 12th Imp Sincil Bank Stadium.

Taylor struck in the 39th minute when he latched onto a long ball forward from Dan Gray, outmuscled Mike Williams and clipped the ball over onrushing keeper Danny Lewis.

It was no more than the Imps deserved following a dominate first half display in the Blue Square Bet Premier opener.

The hardworking Taylor has been a regular thorn in the side of the visitors, as has latest signing Luke Daley.

They included midfielder and captain Gary Mills, who shook off an injury to make the team.

There was no place in the squad for former skipper Josh Gowling, who watched from the stands.

Imps: Farman, Gray, Boyce, Miller, Nutter, Daley, Mills, Power, Smith, Duffy, Taylor. Subs: Sheridan, Oliver, Nicolau, Hutchison, Turner (gk).
