The biggest shareholders are the Co-op, Lindum Group, etc...even Keith Roe who isn't even allowed into the ground by the cabal...and he is the biggest individual shareholder!!!!!!

Bobby Dorrian has put some money in the club, yes, but only a relatively small amount compared to others, and a lot of that money is just loans that he will get generously re-paid (many times over) when he sells out and the Lindum group start building luxury flats on our hallowed turf.

Anyway, going to watch any team on a regular basis has to become an enjoyable habit. A regular recreational past-time. It needs to be enjoyable and most importantly, value for money.

Two ways to give better value for money- either a considerable drop in admission prices- say to £13 adults and £10 concessions, that would be about right for a club in this part of the country in this division.(taking local average incomes into consideration). That gesture would at least make supporters feel less angry towards the club when they lose and play poorly. The value for money would be about right, and I do think the fans would start coming back. Thing is, it could go even lower than it is now.

Alternatively, I think that the style of football is important to the fan in the stand, not so much the result. The result is more important to the fan who tuts at the football result on Final Score, or when he opens his Sunday paper. Personally I dont think you can beat an attack minded 1 or 2 quick tricky wingers that get you off your seat - running the ball down to the byeline and putting in crosses, and a big tank as centre forward. This apply's at any level. It's not long ball - but work the ball. Yeah I'd be more likely to watch that through rain or shine. I'd call that entertainment. If we got beat I wouldnt mind so much and would feel i'd had my moneys worth. I always think about the John Barnes rap - he was right when he said.....

Just coming back to Jackson when he was manager he was doing fairly well while his assistant was MacDonald but as soon as MacDonald left to be the assistant manager at Blackburn Rovers Jackson reign deteriorated as his tactical knowledge was poor and he relied on MacDonald for tactics and picking new players.
So probably what DH needs is someone as his assistant with some tactical knowledge probably an older manager that needs work on a part time basis”

“When Jackson was in charge, if my memory serves me correctly, Lincoln were 13th in league 2 having played 8 games, about mid table. The club had it's own training ground, reserve team, and some decent players. Funding was, for the foreseeable future, secure for the centre of excellence and things didn't look too bad from where I was standing, so why did the board decide to sack Jackson? Since that day the club has never been so high in the league.

3 years on, Lincoln are sitting in 20th place after 7 games, having employed the services of 5 managers ( 2 caretaker managers), no training ground, no reserve team, no league status, funding for the youth set up looking pretty grim, and dwindling gates.

So when you look at it like that, you can't help thinking that there has been way too many hasty decisions taken by the board,don't you.

Anyway it's been done now, and you can't turn the clock back, we have to move forward, and playing football the way Lincoln are at the moment, using archaic tactics of pumping aimless long balls into the channels or wherever, is not moving forward. However I'm not surprised as English football generally play that way at all levels, but what really puzzles me is, why on earth do the coaches not change it? How can little Jamie Taylor be expected to challenge giant centre halves in the air? Is it not obvious that Taylor at 5"8 or whatever he is, really isn't going to win an aerial battle with 6" plus defenders!. Why when one of the fullbacks is in possession, and there is nothing on, does he always knock the ball into the "channel" . The answer is because that is how he has been coached. All you succeed in doing is giving the opposition the ball.

So why keep doing it!!!”

“Logically as you go down the leagues,like the players the standard of the officials deteriorates.

One of the obvious things to note is the lack of the buzzer/earpiece system for all the officials to communicate together with. But one of the other obvious things to me is the lack of confidence by the officials to make an important desicion particularly by the linesman. (The Boyce penalty against Macclesfield aside a clear foul but I thought outside the area).

The problem Lincoln will always encounter is when they play the big physical teams they get away with alot of things that in higher leagues would encounter cards of both colours and alot more fouls.

Having said all this if they were stronger Sheridan would of been sent off for his excessive abuse of the linesman, although I could very much understand his frustrations the fourth official and linesman should of got the referee over to give him the bad news.”
