Tom Miller's 83rd-minute strike saw Lincoln come from behind to gain a 2-1 home victory over Nuneaton.

Nicky Nicolau, who had earlier brought Lincoln level, delivered an inswinging corner from the left and Miller headed in from six yards.

James Armson had given Nuneaton a dream start with a third-minute goal, sweeping the ball right-footed into the top corner from 12 yards.

Wesley York went close to adding a second goal after 12 minutes but his 12-yard shot was well saved by Paul Farman.

But The Imps finally got back on level terms in the 75th minute, following Simon Forsdick's sending-off.

Forsdick was shown a straight red for hauling down Vadaine Oliver and the foul was punished further by Nicolau's 20 yard free-kick which arrowed into the bottom corner.

Lincoln could even afford to miss a 90th-minute penalty, Jamie Taylor's effort hitting the crossbar.

“...have to agree redimposter about your last sentence - but my money is on us getting tonked but we have done reasonably ok against the so called 'better' teams - but we shall see as after all these years of trying to guess what the score will be, etc. the mighty imps always seem to defy logic! Is the game on the telly - sky????

    C'mon you mighty Imps :)”

“Hold the back page! We won! But, I like many, am disappointed in the manner in which we had to do it. Letting in yet another early goal, playing like they would never get back into it, then thank goodness for the sending off because without it we would have lost last night. At least the players managed to turn it around but why were 3 usual starters on the bench? One could argue that Holdsworth was using the chance to rest some or play newer faces but whatever the deal was it was a good job they pulled it together at the end. I wouldn't be massively surprised if we did ok v Forest Green on Friday - on the other hand nor would I be if we get massively tonked!”

“I know Thommo splits opinion but he did say on the radio before the game that Nicolau should have played from the beginning. He was also bemused that Taylor was not starting.
Holdsworth's tactics and team selection continue to be a cause for major concern.”

“Well a win is a win - asleep for the first 15 minutes, clueless for most of the rest.
I am not anti DH , but one does have to ask questions. Why do we continue to hump aimless long balls ? why leave Nicolau out ? - not the best player in the world but one of our better players recently and someone who can take a deadball kick. Why not give Larkin the pen ? only buried 2 in the last home game. Are the two full backs like we were at school - not allowed over the half way line? You can't fault young Robinson, thrown in without the benefit of someone like Larkin alongside or Farman who again did little wrong. It could be another long miserable winter.”
