Lincoln United get their pre-season campaign under way with a friendly against the RAF at RAF Waddington on Tuesday, July 17.

The Evo-Stik League Division One South side follow this up with matches against Louth Town and Askern Villa as they aim to get some match time under their belt ahead of their County Cup clash with Boston United on July 24.

“Not so long ago Lincoln City used to play Lincoln United in a pre-season friendly. A game that was looked forward to in the city, especially during Keith's reign. Why has this fixture not carried on, is it because certain managers and board members got too big for their boots. Not a good way to win hearts and minds, and help our neighbours earn a few quid to keeping running their club.”
