Lincoln United target Carlton Town victory
A "back to basics" approach has enabled Lincoln United to climb away from relegation worries – and the Whites can record their fifth win in six games at home to Carlton Town tonight (7.45pm).
John Wilkinson's return to Ashby Avenue has heralded an upsurge in form and the effect has been so profound that Whites supporters can safely plan for another season in the UniBond League Division One (South).

Saturday's 3-1 victory at home against basement side Willenhall Town was further confirmation that Wilkinson's simple yet effective strategy has paid dividends.
"We have changed the emphasis in terms of keeping things much simpler," said Wilkinson (pictured below).
"In football sometimes it happens that way. We've just gone back to basics.
"I also made the squad slightly younger and changed the system, too.
"As it stands I am quite happy with the way we are playing and the squad. I am looking at a couple of younger players for next season but in general I feel the squad is quite settled."
Carlton, who sit 10th in the division, have endured mixed results recently but Wilkinson believes inconsistency has affected many sides in the league this campaign.
"With the exception of Mickleover Sports, who have pulled away from the pack recently, everyone has the ability to beat everyone else. It's been that sort of league," added Wilkinson.
"I would happily take four points from our next two games, tonight and at home against Cammell Laird.
"If we win tonight then I will want six points but we'll see.
"I'm not greedy. To keep winning would be great but I won't expect too much."
Danny George is struggling to be fit for tonight's clash with a rib injury, while Steve Melton – who missed Saturday's win – has a hamstring problem and may not play.
