From left, Sam Wardham, Philip Stevens and Lewis Gemmill, of Red Dog Films, based in Lincoln, are having two short films shown as part of the Drill Hall's Made in Lincolnshire programme.
Managing Director of Red Dog Film Sam Wardham is hoping the shorts will draw out more talent in the city.
Mr Wardham said: "We are trying to create a community of filmmakers in Lincolnshire who can all benefit and expand their skills.
"It is really exciting, Red Dog is working with some really talented people on this project and the commercial work we're doing allows us to fund this type of project.
"It also means we can get new equipment and give filmmakers access to good technology.
"We are also going to be filming a feature film next year."
Mr Wardham's own short film Fairytale is going to be shown before the main film Atonement on November 9.
It tells the story of a mother recounting a tale to her sick child about a real journey, but using fairy tale terminology.
Also working on the short films are Philip Stevens, 29, as director and Lewis Gemmill, 24, as editor.
The two men are former professional actors who are studying cinematography at the University of Lincoln.
They wrote the second short film, Crossing, which is based on the Edwardian interpretation of the River Styx myth.
It is being shown on Monday before the main film Pride and Prejudice.
