This time round he is hoping he can set the record straight when Fleuret heads to Burton's backyard for a showdown at Lincoln Showground on November 10.

"I thought I was in control of the first fight, I dropped him in first round with a nice left hook, but luckily for him it was on the bell," said Burton.

"He then had a minute to gather his senses and clear his head and to his credit he did that.

"In the fourth round he hit me in the eye, I couldn't see a thing so I had to take a knee and an eight count.

"I was annoyed at this, but I did need to do it otherwise I could have taken unnecessary shots.

"After the count I went back into trade with Fleuret and we both caught each other with left hooks to the chin, I threw mine from a low stance and was off balance, when I went to move back I stumbled into the corner, Aaron (my cornerman) thought I had been hurt so threw the towel in.

"I was gutted, but I knew he was trying to protect me.

"I have moaned and groaned about this to Aaron ever since, but I now have the chance to put things right.

"It's a big risk as Fleuret is true world class but I am very confident."

Burton hopes to have a crowd of 1,000 at The Showground for the 'Repeat or Revenge' event which will include two professional European title fights, one Five Nations title and one English title.

His fight is one of three rematches on the show being organised by Burton's Fight Factory Gym.

Lincoln fighter Aaron Robinson is set to take on current ISKA European Welterweight Champion Suhky Saroya from Stevenge over ten, two minute rounds.

The duo went head to head four years ago and battled out a draw over seven rounds.

"Aaron has been desperate for a rematch ever since that draw," said Burton.

"It's a tough fight for Aaron, as in my opinion Saroya is one of, if not the most improved fighters over the last three years.

"He has beat some top opposition to establish himself the number one in Europe.

"Aaron will have to train extra hard to make the 66.8kg weigh and still feel fresh and strong, but we are confident he will take the title."

The third rematch see's Lincoln's ISKA and IFK British Champion Callum Thompson take on IKF Five Nation's Champion Sean O'Neil from Waterford in Ireland.

The pair last fought in June in Ireland, where O'Neil won a very close contest.

"The first fight was very close and only a kick to the head could really separate the two," said Burton.

"A new game plan could bring victory to Callum."

Also on the card, Lincoln KBA's unbeaten Tom Scutt challenges for the ISKA English title at 69.5kg against current IKF English Champion George Downey from Kode Red in Derby.

There is also an International Super Prestige Fight on the cards, where Derby's Scott Taylor looks to get back onto winning ways after losing his world title challenge last year.

He will be putting his 48-2 record on the line against current BFKKO World Champion Barry O'Toole from Ireland.

The show will also feature Lincoln's Jordan McLoughin, Andy Barnaby, Matty Parker. Sergio Garcia, Luke Iwankiw, Roman Sikorski, Richard Oak and Piotr Bulczynski.

The event takes place at Lincoln Showground on November 10. Tickets are £40 for VIP, £25 for standard and £15 for children.

Doors open at 5pm with the first fight at 6pm.
