Lincoln man arrested after 'sexual assault' on train from Newark

A Lincoln man has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault following an incident on a train from Newark.

The 55-year-old was arrested yesterday following an appeal by the British Transport Police for information about an incident which happened on June 23.

He was later released on police bail until January 15, pending further enquiries.

A BTP spokesperson said: "We would like to thank the media for their support and members of the public for the information that they supplied which enabled us to trace and arrest this man."
