Three talented youngsters are making a bid for stardom by entering a countrywide talent contest.

The pupils, from Christ's Hospital School in Lincoln, have been called for auditions for the next series of Britain's Got Talent.

Solo singer Phoebe Morris and double dance act Lois Forbes and Chloe Marsh have performed before producers of the programme for the first round of the contest.

Now they waiting to hear if they will be called back to appear before the judges – and possibly on TV.

Phoebe Morris (11), from Scampton, attended an audition in London last week where she sang Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again from the Phantom of the Opera.

She said: "I was a bit nervous singing in front of the show's producers and it was all recorded on camera.

"I think the audition went well though. They don't really give you much feedback. I think it'd be more nerve-wracking in the later stages of the competition."

And friends Lois Forbes (12) and Chloe Marsh (13), who have called their act Treet, will face the producers this Saturday when they travel to Birmingham for their audition.

The girls, who are both members of local dance groups, choreographed a dance to the Ting Ting's number one hit That's Not My Name.

"The name of our group is a combination of the words tap and street which reflects the type of dance we'll be doing," said Lois.

"We're really happy to get the chance to be able to audition for the programme."
