Lincoln's Brayford Wharf East crossing barriers back in action
UPDATE: 7.45am: Engineers who responded immediately to the problem had the barriers working again within 30 minutes. Traffic is now running freely in Brayford Whar East.
The automatic barriers on Brayford Wharf East in Lincoln were jammed at 7.15am this morning and causing local traffic tailbacks.
Traffic heading in both directions was forced to do U-turns as the railway barriers remained in the down position with no trains in either direction.
Congestion was eased because the High Street level crossing was unaffected.
