Lincoln's The Cheese Society shop expands
A thriving Lincoln business has expanded after The Cheese Society's owner Kate O'Meara took over a former jeweller's shop in The Strait.
It is now the base for the retail and mail order arm of the popular cafe in St Martin's Lane.
Now the café has been redesigned to provide seating for 14 more covers – increasing from only 22 to 36 seats. "We already supply about 80 cheeses, but having two sites so close together means I can offer cheese-lovers an even better service from our dedicated shop," said Kate O'Meara.
She has followed hard on the heels of another new arrival to The Strait trading scene – mother and daughter Sue and Lucie Powis have launched RubyRedKids in the former Knight's shoe shop.

He said: "Empty premises don't do any town or city any favours and it is especially good to see vacant premises snapped-up quickly."
