Lincoln 'save our libraries' protest march date confirmed
A protest march against the risk of closure to 32 Lincolnshire libraries through Lincoln city centre has been confirmed for Saturday, September 21.
Lincolnshire County Council is proposing to hand over control of 32 of its 47 library services to community groups under moves to save £2 million.
The shake-up would cost 170 jobs. So far, 20,000 people across the county have signed petitions to save libraries from closure.
The consultation period on the future of the libraries ends on September 30.
