Lincolnshire County Council confident over demand for school places
PLANS are "in place" to cope with a rising demand for extra school places, says Lincolnshire County Council.
The National Audit Office is warning that a quarter of a million extra school places will be needed in England by autumn 2014.

The spending watchdog also claims that one in five primary schools was full or near capacity due to the biggest increase in birth rate since the 1950s.

But Patricia Bradwell, executive member for children's services at the county council, told the Target that the rising demand had already been anticipated.
She said: "We were already aware of this expected increase in the number of pupils and have plans in place to cope with it.
"We continue to invest in our existing schools and academies, as well as building new ones.
"Currently, new primary academies are planned for Lincoln, Skegness, Spalding and Bourne.
"These should be ready in around 18 months.
"And we'll keep a close eye on the situation to make sure that, whatever the future brings, we still have sufficient spaces in the county."
